After two years, cat shows returned to Sopot and we could not miss that event. Unfortunately, the weather was very unstable and rather than long walks along the beach, we enjoyed Baltic cuisine....

Our cats were judged by B. Mahelka, M. Kabina and N. Pahl.

Valtice 25/26 Czerwiec 2005
We spent last weekend of June on the show held in Valtice. This is a small but very nice town in the south of Czech Republic, near the Austrian border We slept in Mikulov, situated 10 km from Valtice, on the Brno-Vienna route. You can find many picturesque historical items there, and the most important one is Castle Dietrichstein.
Valtice, on the other hand, was the estate of Prince Lichtenstein family. The show was organised in the Lichtenstein Castle stables.
We came to the show with a bigger group, not only with british shorthairs. Most of us slept in Mikulov, in "St. Urban" pension. We can recommend this place - nice and kind people, good restaurant on-site, cats are accepted at no charge. In the summer you can spend there nice evenings in the outside garden celebrating good meals and famous wines from Mikulov-Valtice region.
Our cats gained another certificates and "excellent" notes - Cin Cin Graham*PL EX1 twice, IC Lonely HEART Of Czankra*PL - on Saturday last CAGCIB certificate (thus completed Grand International Champion title), on Sunday - first CACE certificate. This time cats were judged by the judges from Czech, France and Sweden: K. Mahelkova, J. Renault, L. Coste and H. Lindberg.
Moreover, on Sunday Cin Cin was nominated by Louis Coste to Best In Show competition. She was presented in BIS by the member of "Valtice Group" - Paweł (who was a stewart there).
These were the longest days in the year, so after the show we were also able to visit neighbouring Lednice with a nice park and palace, also belonging once to the Prince Lichtenstein family.
