Vaduz is the capitol of Principality of Lichtenstein - alpine microstate in Western Europe, bordered by Switzerland to the west and south and by Austria to the east. Formally independent since 1866 it has strong relationships with Switzerland. Liechtenstein has the highest gross domestic product per person in the world.
